When in Rome… (or the UK)
I am currently sitting in a delightful, cottage hotel, overlooking a garden, sipping English tea and typing away on my Mac. I feel like such the chic Brit right now… Anyway…
I’ll share a story with you while I’m sitting here… When I was little, I pictured myself as an international jet-setter. I was a professional, business woman, whose job would send me flying all over the world. Upon arriving at my destination, a man in a suit would be holding a card with my name, and he would carry my bags to the Town Car waiting outside.
Well today, the driver had the card with my name, but he wasn’t wearing a suit, and he didn’t carry my bag… But, hey, it was pretty cool anyway (even if it wasn’t as grandiose as my dream).
Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see Central London at all. But I walked around East Grinstead for a few hours. And I even received a few of the infamous British catcalls. That made me laugh.
And I totally apologize for the lack of photos. Since it was a business trip, I couldn’t afford to look like a complete tourist in front of everyone. Especially since while exiting the car, my big booty (in an effort to escape) caused my skirt to rip to the point of indecency. Yes folks, I almost pulled a Britney Spears (except I wear panties).
So… photos were not really on my mind… But I do have a few.
Now I will go to bed. I’m exhausted. With the time change, I haven’t slept in 2 days. Good night!

Remind Me to Never Date a Pilot
I’m in the Miami airport waiting for my flight to board. Everything has gone smoothly so far… The train was (mostly) on time, I exchanged my money, check-in was a breeze… So we’ll just have to see if the rest of my trip goes this smoothly…
I got to JFK and I’m sitting in the food court, listening to a bunch of pilots shoot the breeze in between flights. They’re talking about women (no surprise). One says, “There’s this flight attendant who lives in Dallas, but she’s married. You see, I’ve been f***ing her since October and I just gave her my phone number last week.” Then, the rest of the conversation centered around good (and bad) places for the flight crew to screw.
Unbelievable… It’s hard for me to believe men like this exist. I guess I have gotten quite lucky with the men in my life. We’ll see what kind of blokes I meet in England…

UK for a Day
This Thursday I will be flying out to London for some business I have to take care of. Due to numerous obligations, I will only be in London for 1 day… Yes, I’m flying all that way for just 1 day.
I’m really hoping it will be fun. I have never been to the UK, but I hear great things about London. I’m hoping I will be able to see some cool things… maybe walk around for a bit… maybe hit up some pubs… We’ll see how it works out… This is my first hastily (and poorly) planned trip, so I hope to still make the most of it.
Also, I am beginning to settle on some plans to visit NYC in the next few weeks. I have some friends I really need to visit, so it should be fun.
Wish me luck in the UK!
